If Carole was reading this now, she would probably exclaim "Oh for Pete's sake!". Carole grew up in St Paul and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and the University of MN, where she met her future husband, Bill Kenny at a dance at the Newman Center. Their love grew, and they were married for nearly 70 years, when they were parted by COVID19. They had 6 children, none of whom became a burden on society.

In addition to patiently raising their 6 children, Carole was an accomplished painter, sewer, learned to play guitar, sang in the Nativity of Mary choirs, taught catechism, and she and Bill provided pre-marital counseling and participated in Dinner for 8 through their church. She drove for Meals on Wheels and provided rides for seniors needing transportation, was active in League of Women Voters, and Neighborhood Watch. She was one of the top producers at Kenny Industries, developing products such as sleeping bag liners, homemade hockey equipment, and found new and innovative ways to re-use pantyhose, hockey sticks and bread bags. She made and maintained many friendships throughout her life. She and long-time friends Bonnie, Joan and Lucy toured local nursing homes and schools as The String-A-Longs. She was an avid bicyclist and X-country skier first with Bill, and with the Tuesday Morning Biking Group, well into her 80's.

Carole was always open to trying something new. She and Bill camped all over the US, before and with their children, and their good friends, the Sampsons. They biked through Europe and New Zealand, visited Mexico, Canada, and when Bill could no longer travel, she visited Morocco. She was up for charades, DDR, riding the Screaming Yellow Eagle or the Alpine Tram ride, which required a small search and rescue mission. She had a quick wit, and even when people didn't think she was listening, she'd surprise you with a zinger.

Carole is survived by her children Ann (Dave) Steensgard, Bill (Kim) Kenny, Mike (Julia) Kenny, Marie (A. El Haddi) Kenny, Jeanne Kenny, Steven P (Sylvie) Kenny, in-laws Ellie (Merle) Peden, Connie Kenny, Tom (Cookie) Kenny, numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Carole was predeceased by her parents Frank and Helen Wilson, her sister Helen (Don) Omodt and brother Frank (Carol) Wilson, many in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles, 1 niece and 1 grandson.

Carole's funeral will be held on Friday, May 9th at Nativity of Mary Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave S. Bloomington, MN. Visitation at 10:00 am, mass at 11:00. Burial at 12:15 at Bloomington Cemetery, luncheon following at Nativity's gathering space.
