Carol Kile Obituary

Robbinsdale - Carol Kile, born in July 1949 in Rochester, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents, Elaine and Archie; and her half brothers, Donald (Joyce) and Gerald (Ronnie). She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen; grandchildren Anya, Aidan, and Ava; great grandchildren Tallulah and Julius; siblings Mike (Chris), Terry, Judith (George), and Theresa (Ron); niece Jennifer; nephews Aaron (Ania) and Jeffery; and her beloved dog, Merlin. Carol graduated from John Marshall High School, the University of Minnesota, and Control Data Institute. Over the years she worked for Xerox Corporation, Thermo King, United Health Care, and North Memorial Hospital. A lifelong learner, Carol loved classes, lectures, and anything that fed her curiosity. She was a devoted reader of art, history, and world culture, an artist and collector herself, and a gardener whose blooms brightened every season. She cherished her neighbors and the friendships she built on her daily walks with Merlin. Her family is especially grateful to Pat and Janet for their kindness and for caring for Merlin now. Carol often shared her favorite quote, one that reflected how she lived: "Empathy is everything that makes us human. We have to feel for one another if we are going to survive with dignity." — Audrey Hepburn. Carol's memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior (1:00pm) at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens at 5125 West Broadway, Crystal, MN. Interment to follow at 2:30 PM - 2:45PM on site. Light refreshments to follow interment at 2:45 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to donors' preference.
