Mpls, MN - Carmen Latona Haugen passed away in peace at home on May 19, 2026. She lived 96 faithful years as daughter to Henry and Norma; sister to Bob, Jim, Mary, and Helen; wife to Del; mother to Mark (Jeannette), John, and Dan. Carmen volunteered her inspired expression and nurturing guidance as teacher, counselor, and leader in church and community throughout her abundant life. She will be missed by grandchildren Sonja, Eric, Linnea, Dan, Nels, and Mallory; great-grandchildren Samuel, Eli, Thomas, Sienna, Lena, Cordelia, Bentley, Connor, Seth, and Westin; and many nieces and nephews. To all, she gave steadfast personal warmth and devotion.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on June 2, 2026, at Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Chapel, 1838 E. Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis. Family will gather at 10:45 a.m. on June 3, 2026, for interment at Fort Snelling. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 22, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls, 5212 41st Avenue South, Minneapolis.
