New York, NY - Brent D. Bergin, a devoted husband, father, and lifelong learner, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a rare and gentle soul who cared deeply for others, especially his family.

Born in Minneapolis to Pastor Gordon and Laverne Bergin, Brent earned his BA and MA from the University of Minnesota in Economics. He received his MBA from the University of Michigan, where he met his wife, Pamela Huttenberg. They married in 1980 and built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared purpose.

Brent spent nearly three decades at JPMorgan Chase in New York, Hong Kong, and Germany. As a Managing Director, he led a global investment advisory group in the Private Bank, advising high net worth clients. Earlier, he worked as an investment banker for corporations and financial institutions and served as Director of the Bank's Corporate Finance Center for Asia. He also worked as Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chairman and CEO for seven years.

He had a deep curiosity about the world, with interests in global affairs, economics, classical music, and the German language, which he studied for many years with dedication and joy.

Above all, Brent cherished his family. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to Tiffany and Kate, celebrating both life's milestones and everyday moments.

Brent will be remembered for his kindness, humility, intellect, and warm sense of humor. He is survived by his wife and daughters, who will carry his legacy with them always.
