Mpls - age 89, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Midyat, Turkey, she married Sabo (Rhawie) Aksoz in 1953, sharing over 67 years together. In 1979, they courageously immigrated to Minneapolis with their four children. Behiye's greatest joy was her family and was known for her kindness, strength, unconditional love, exceptional cooking, generous hospitality, and the cherished tradition of "Saturday night dinners" that brought the family together for decades. She is survived by her children: Suheyla (Hanna), Robert (Saide), Kenan (Mary), and Vildan (Brian), 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first-born son Edward, and her husband, Sabo. Visitation and Mass will be held Friday, May 15, at Saint Maron's Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Visitation at 10:00 AM, Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon to follow.
