Mpls - Caron, Barbara Suzan Age 89, died peacefully in her sleep on July 3, 2025. Preceded in her death by her parents, Flavian and Angeline Corburn (Fierst). She is survived by her husband of 64 years Francis, children Michael Caron (Michelle), Nicolette Caron-Graham (Glenn), Christopher Caron, Gregory Caron (Melanie), grandchildren Justen (Hallee), Adam, Madeline, Jack, and great-grand-children Kirby and Joni. Barbara was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on September 30, 1935. She endured the passing of her father at the age of 7. She graduated high school salutatorian, then earned her Bachelor's in teaching from Stevens Point university. She was awarded a scholarship to travel to Europe, which she did solo by backpack. After a brief stint teaching she met Francis and was married on June 17, 1961. They moved to Milwaukee, WI where Michael was born and she took on the role as the great homemaker she was. They then moved to Fridley, MN, where they continued to thrive, raising 3 more children. With more to give, she also drove for meals-on-wheels and a service that brought books to the home-bound. They spent their early retirement frequently traveling to Hawaii. For fun she enjoyed birding, gardening, walking in nature and solving crossword puzzles. She will be dearly missed.
