Audrey L. Chrestensen Obituary

Bloomington - Audrey, 84, a resident of Bloomington, passed away Jan. 3, 2026. Born in Davenport, Iowa June 1, 1941. Joined the Navy in 1960 where she met her husband Vern Chrestensen, a Marine. They were married in Bainbridge, Maryland, July 2, 1960. They bought a house in Bloomington in 1966 and lived there for 60 years until she passed away. They had 4 children, Brenda (Jerry) Isaacs, Brian (Carmel), Chrestensen, Jodi Allen, Sheila (Neil) Chrestensen, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was an avid quilter and crafter, and loved her flowers and gardens. She spent 27 winters in Arizona.


A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Washburn-McReavy Bloomington Chapel at 11am, with a lunch to follow. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
