Baumgartner, Arvid E. age 96, of Coon Rapids, MN passed away on March 21st, 2025 at his residence. A service and reception will happen May 1st, 11am at Ft. Snelling. Celebration following at the Roseville VFW: 1145 Woodhill Dr, Roseville, MN 55113 (651) 483-5313. Arvid was a Korean War Veteran. He loved to work. He worked as a butcher at Red Owl, and Lunds/Byerly's until he was approximately 85! Arvid loved his wife Caroline more than anything. They have been married for 73 years since May 7, 1952. Arvid had a great, very dry, sense of humor. He loved his children and loved seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arvid was preceded in death by his two sons, Donn Baumgartner and Daryl Baumgartner. Arvid is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Baumgartner; His children, Gregory Baumgartner (Nancy), Robin Baumgartner (Dave Skovlund), daughter-in-law Mary Beth Baumgartner and his favorite niece (like another daughter) Sherri Jensen; his brother, Glendon Baumgartner (Marvel); daughter-in-law, Holly Gramse; Grandchildren: Nathan Baumgartner, Aaron Baumgartner (Amber), Sara Baumgartner (Scott Cochran), Dale Baumgartner (Demi), Kevin Baumgartner (Taviah), Libby Baumgartner (Nathaniel Fenby), Joe Baumgartner; also survived by great-grandchildren: Hailey, Mason, Sofia, Caleb, Davi, Rocky, Miles, Fern, Harvey and Milo.
