Ann Elizabeth Obele, 50, died September 10, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Woodbury, MN, 11:00 AM, October 10, 2024. Beloved daughter of Judy and Bill Buttermore, Ann was born February 24, 1974 in Morgantown, WV. Her family moved to Ames, Iowa where she graduated from Ames High School. She earned her paralegal degree leading to a successful career in the banking industry. She first married Lindsay Scandrett and moved to Minneapolis St. Paul where she gave birth to Jake and divorced after eight years of marriage. Thereafter, she married Patrick Obele and moved to Woodbury, MN where she gave birth to Nicholas. They divorced in 2024 after more than twenty years of marriage. She is survived by her son, Jake Scandrett and his father, Lindsay; her son Nicholas Obele and his father, Patrick; stepdaughter Madeline Marty (Christian), and their children Teddy and Dahlia, and stepson Andrew Obele; her grandmother, Elma Buttermore, her parents, Judy and Bill Buttermore, and her brother, Andrew Buttermore (Kelli). She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Brigid Buttermore. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
