Lino Lakes, MN - Andrea Marie Bergman, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home late in the afternoon of July 2nd, 2025.

Born on August 29th, 1941, Andrea was the oldest child of Earl and Gladys Sellman. Brenda Fox and Merlin Sellman are her younger siblings.

She is survived by her husband Clark Bergman; her younger siblings Brenda Fox and Merlin Sellman, her two children, Gena (Bergman) Chapman and Torrey Bergman; their spouses, Mike Chapman and Juli Bergman; her four granddaughters, Kaila (Chapman) Heelan, Tara Chapman, Elsa Bergman and Anja Bergman; and Kaila's husband, Bill Heelan.

Andrea and Clark were married on July 5th 1963. She graduated with a BA in social work from the University of Minnesota in 1966. She worked three years as a clerk under Dr. George Nagobads, who had tears in his eyes when she told him she would not be returning after giving birth to her first child, Gena.

Andrea brought joy into the world throughout her life, playing piano, preparing cherished family dinners, and hosting festive holiday gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, especially to London, Vermont, and Door County. Andrea was a devoted sports fan, often cheering for and agonizing over Minnesota sports teams. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She especially loved when the whole family was together. She also enjoyed brunches with her grandchildren.

In the words of a neighbor, "I often thought of Andrea because she was such an exceptional example of motherly love and service. She was a force that held her family together."

Her legacy is her wonderful children and granddaughters, whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of Andrea's life will be held on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nature Center, Interpretive Center Main Building. 8300 West Franklin Ave., St. Louis Park, 55426. A service will begin at 10 am, with refreshments to follow.
