Richfield, MN - Amy Horne (52) blessed the world with curiosity, creativity, intellect and presence from 4/20/1972 to 12/31/2025. Amy was born to Paul and Mary Louise (Mangen) Leintz of Maple Plain, Minnesota. Amy believed in holistic living and stepping into the world with openness and optimism.
After graduating from Orono High School in 1990, Amy's passion for music brought her to Nashville where she worked in music business management. Later, she returned to Minnesota and became active in a 12 Step Program, embracing a personal wellness and recovery journey. This commitment inspired her to obtain a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine, and her career blossomed as the owner and operator of BlueBranches Acupuncture.
Amy enjoyed days spent playing with her dogs, fellowship, history, literature, ink dipped calligraphy pens, learning new things, and quiet reflection in nature. These were a few of her favorite things.
Amy believed that all things happen in perfect order. While we may not know or understand the reasons for life's triumph and tribulations, she saw our bodies as but a vessel for the spirit as it learns to shine in its purity. Poem by Mary Oliver | Blue Branches Acupuncture
In November 2025, Amy was diagnosed with cancer. While progression of her illness did not allow for time to say all of her goodbyes, she held deep gratitude for the unique perspective and gifts her many friends, family and members of her recovery community brought to her life.
Amy is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Leintz. She is survived by her husband Jon Horne and their beloved dogs Ninmah and Petra; as well as her father Paul Leintz (Linda Rodewald), sister Alison Forbs (Harold), sister Alyssa Conducy (Leigh and children Annika Shoemaker, Roxanne and Bronson), sister-in-law Nancy Wucherpfennig (Brad and children Nathan (Christina) and Matthew (Maylin Snell) and sister-in-law Sara Lenertz (children Ryan and Jenna).
