Plymouth, MN - Alivia Grace Nordeen (16) of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away at home, on September 1, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her family as she came to rest after a long battle with brain cancer.

Alivia was born on September 16, 2008, in Oceanside, California. She grew up in Minnesota and was a junior at Wayzata High School, active in theater and the arts. Many knew her by her bright and bubbly spirit, her kindness, and her compassionate sense of generosity. She met each day with courage and bravery, even through her struggles.

She is loved beyond measure by her parents, Josh and Becky Nordeen, and by her brothers, Rylan and Evan. She is survived by grandparents, Ken and Phyllis Olson, Barb and Dan Nord, and Phyllis Nordeen; great- grandmother, Terri Larson; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and classmates. She is preceded in death and welcomed through her transition from this life by her aunt, Emily Olson; her grandfather, Steve Nordeen; and many other loving relatives. Alivia's spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those that loved her.

Alivia's family is deeply grateful for the care and compassion of the doctors and nurses at Children's Hospital Minneapolis, as well as the teachers and paraprofessionals across the Wayzata School District, who encouraged and supported Alivia throughout her years.

A Celebration of Life event will be held Saturday, Sept 20th at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis- Park Place (1500 Park Place Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55416).

A luncheon will be held from 1:00-2:00pm for close family and friends.

A service, open to all, will be held at 2:00pm with refreshments and visitation to follow.

Guests are asked to wear their brightest colors to the event to honor Alivia's joyful spirit!

Alivia poured so much energy into her love of reading, art and animals. As a way to honor her joy, donations of books, crafts, and pet supplies will be collected at the event to be distributed to non-profit organizations.
