Saint Paul, MN - Abdol "Hamid" Banaei passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the late afternoon on 2/6/26. Hamid is survived by the mother of his children and wife of 25 years Neva, daughter Alandra and son Navid. Most importantly he is survived by his 4 beautiful, loving grandchildren, Larissa (18), Chaise (17), Edward (11), and Juliet (9).

Hamid was born June 9th, 1947 in Boroujerd, Iran, into a huge Persian family with many survivors in many different countries. He moved to the states in 1975 where he attended college at Winona State. He was loved by all who knew him.

Hamid was passionate about life, social equality and World peace. He enjoyed playing the violin, gardening, cooking and painting. He moved through life without judgement and spread kindness like wildflowers. He loved his grandchildren, family and extended family unconditionally and he will be missed deeply.
