William Edward Ware Obituary

Ware William Edward Ware, resident of Leesburg, VA, passed away January 4, 2002 while surrounded by his loving wife, Margaret Mary; daughters, Carol (Nau), Sharon (Hewitt), Denise (Landers); and son, William Edward, Jr. He was born December 28, 1929 and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He married Margaret in 1955 after serving as an Air Force communications officer in the Korean War. He earned a BS in electrical engineering and MBA from Drexel University. Bill's career as a software engineer spanned over four decades. Professional memberships included the ICS and IEEE technical societies, and he was recognized by the Instrumentation Society of America as a Computer Control Pioneer. He retired from Honeywell after 31 yrs. In addition to his wife and children, Bill will be greatly missed by his sister, Mary Ila Klein; sons-in-law, Richard Nau, Sam Hewitt, Richard Landers; daughter-in-law, Annie Callaghan; grandchildren, Sarah and Daniel Nau, Brandon and Brooke Landers; and many friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Tappahannock, VA on Wednesday, January 9 at noon. Friends & relatives are welcome to join the family at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
