Smith Welby Dane, 69, of Largo, FL, died Friday, May 24, 2002 at Morningside. Born in St. Paul, MN, he came here in 1996 from Mpls., MN. He was a civil engineer for Canadian Pacific Railways in Mpls. His church affiliation was Christian Science. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Smith of Largo; sons, Curtis and Kenneth Smith, both of St. Petersburg, FL; mother, Macil Smith of Largo, FL; daughter-in-law, Karen Smith; grandchildren, Dane and Casilia Smith. Memorial service Mon. 1:00 PM at BRADSHAW (MCDIVITT-HAUGE), 3131 Minnehaha Ave S., Mpls. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a gift may be made to Nature Conservancy.
