Gockel Virginia Jeanne Gockel (nee Schultz), age 82, died on August 24, 2002. Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, worked for Donovan Companies for 35 years in Iowa and Minnesota. Upon retirement made Happy the Clown and was active seniors volunteer. Survived by son, John (Joleen), Bloomington; 2 granddaughters, Rose Marie VanZandt, Bloomington and Christina Rathman (Jerry), Chaska; 7 nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Carl R. Memorial service 11:00 AM Friday at Willwerscheid West-Heights Chapel, 235 Wentworth Ave W., West St. Paul. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Private interment in Fort Madison. Memorials preferred to flowers. Much gratitude to staff of Southview Acres Home, who made mom's final days comfortable.
