Virginia A. Gamelgard Obituary

Gamelgard Virginia A., 87, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, a resident here since 1978, died February 13, 2003. She was born March 21, 1915 in Minneapolis, MN, one of six girls, daughter of the late Henry and Dora (Dahl) Simonson. As an accomplished organist and pianist, she enjoyed entertaining her friends and family. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and Christ Lutheran Church in Cape Coral, FL. She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Barbara Colby (Butch) of Columbia, MD; sisters, Lucille Marcy of St. Louis Park, MN, Betty Krumsieg (Darrell) of N. Ft. Myers, FL; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. A celebration of her life will be held on March 21, 2003 at 2:30 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church in Cape Coral, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church and School ELCA, 2911 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL, 33904.
