Shallman Thora "Dodie"Shallman was born on February 3, 1921 in Nessel Township, Chisago Cty, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Halverson; first husband Jerome Jolicoeur, killed in action in W.W. II; their son Jerome Jolicoeur Jr. who died on May 30, 1996; her second husband Kenneth Shallman died on February 5, 2001 and their son Kenneth Jr. who died on May 29, 1986. Dodie was an honorary member of Lt. Jolicoeur's squadron, the 781st Army Air Corps, a charter member of the Needlework Guild of Minnesota and Editor-in-Chief of the Cambridge Observer. She is survived by one son, Harry Shallman (Susan); three daughters, Martie Gjerde (Doug), Mary Shallman (Charles Cronin), and Caroline Shallman (David Wright); step-daughters Patricia Landis and Penny Carrigan (Ed); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial service on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 7 p.m. at Rock Mankie Funeral Home, Braham, MN. 320-396-2121
