Thomas Anne Clifford, age 84, of Edina, passed away January 25, 2002. Preceded in death by husband, Idwal in 1998; her parents and 2 brothers. Survived by brother, Anthony E. Clifford and his wife, Doris of Avoca, PA; sister-in-law, Jo Thomas of Mankato, MN; brother-in-law, Alun and his wife, Eleanor Thomas of Waupaca, WI; many nieces, nephews and special friends. Anne was born on January 6, 1918 in Avoca, PA, the daughter of Anthony E. and Katherine (Garland) Clifford. She graduated from Misericordia College, Dallas, PA. She was united in marriage to Idwal J. Thomas on March 8, 1952. Anne taught school for many years. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, the Edinamoes and a long time volunteer at Methodist Hospital. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Methodist Volunteer Services, Christ Presbyterian Church or donor's choice. Funeral Service 1 pm, Tuesday, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Rd., Edina with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Fort Snelling.
