Ihrig Thelma J., born Jan. 7, 1937 to Eugene & Stella Phillips in Boone, NC, passed away May 16, 2003 at her home with her family at her side. The first 18 years were lived in that same house. She graduated from Boone High School and got a 3 year nursing degree from Presbyterian School of Nursing in Charlotte. Over the years she obtained a BS in Nursing Science. Thelma led a full life as a mother, grandmother, dedicated pastor's wife, Master Gardner, and registered nurse and committed Christian. She is survived by husband, Ronald E. Ihrig, Sr.; son & daughter-in-law, Chip & Amy Ihrig, Jr., and their son, Travis; daughter, Regina Rae Small and her children, Josh, Jenny and Joey; a sister & husband, Norma & Earl Parlier, and nephews, Rodney & Kevin. Memorial service Sun., May 18, 2003 at 2 PM at the Roanoke Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1701 Memorial Ave., Roanoke, VA, 24015.
