Survived by son; David (Patricia); mother, Wentao Tao; sisters, Linda (Herman) Mast, Shirley Silbert; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Samantha, & Alex; many nieces & nephews. Retired professor of East & South Asian Languages at the University of MN. Funeral will be held in Berkeley CA.
