Hansing Shirley Hansing, of Edina, died surrounded by love at Hillcrest Rehabilitation & Health Care Center on Jan. 23 after a long illness. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bob; brother, Edgar Biechele & sister, Fernie Rodriguez. Survived by daughters, Barb (John) Timmer of Park Ridge, IL, Lori (Jerry) Allen of Long Lake, Nancy (Dennis) Watson of Sequim, WA, Debbie (Stewart) Hoge of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Kris Ichen, Anne (fiance Brent Botts) & Sarah Timmer, Kate Allen, Sam & Elliot Watson, Jenny, Shelby & Cortland Hoge; great-grandchild Noah Ichen. Also survived by sister, Mil Thorp; special niece, Marcia Fox; special friends, Grace Jones & Keith Segner. Shirley loved to travel, play golf and knit for charity, but most importantly, she loved her family. A special thank you to Dr. Jan Tanghe & Dr. Mary Tanghe for their compassionate & devoted care of Mom; to the entire staff at Hillcrest for making Mom feel like one of the family and for making it possible for her to remain in her room surrounded by love; and to Fairview Hospice for guiding us down this path with courage and dignity. Memorial service Saturday. 11 AM at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 48th St. & France Ave. S., Mpls. Private interment. Visitation 1 hr. prior to service.
