Thomas Sara Henry Tillinghast Thomas, age 87, of Friendship Village, died New York 7/26/02. Born 2/14/15, Providence, RI, long time resident of Sandwich, Mass, resided in MN 20 years. Survived by daughters, Sara Johnson, Margaret Graff, Emily Thomas; daughter by affection, Gitti Anderson; grandchildren, Owen Johnson III, Emily (Sam) McNair, Meg (Jim) Parsons, Norman (Jenny Oliphant) Graff Jr., Jeremy Hool, Sara Hool; great-grandchildren, Eliza and Daniel McNair, Evva and Elise Parsons. Preceded in death by husband, Philip Thomas. A Bryn Mawr graduate, avid reader, and animal lover, she enjoyed traveling including to the USSR. She was an engaging storyteller with a keen mind, a good memory and a wry sense of humor. A family remembrance will be held at the Women's Club on Friday, August 9.
