Strohschein Ruth Wilhelmina, 87, of Forest Lake, died January 24 in her home. Preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Leonard (1965); her sister, Frieda Schendel (1967); granddaughter, Stephanie Strohschein (1978). Lovingly remembered by her children, John (Connie), Mary (Robert "Van") Pennell, and Dorothy (Dan) Patterson; 6 grandchildren, Tim, Sarah, and Katie Strohschein, Alex Pennell, Beth (Dante) Vono, and Mary Patterson; 1 sister, Bess (Al) Strohschein; brother-in-law Fred Schendel; sister-in-law, Vi Strohschein; nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Graveside service 1 pm Friday, January 31, at Howard Lake Cemetery in Howard Lake, MN. Service of praise and thanksgiving 11 am Saturday, February 1, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Messiah Lutheran Church, 807 Highway 97 in Forest Lake. Mattson Funeral Home 651-464-3556
