Ruth L. Tongson Obituary
Tongson Ruth L. (nee Elling), age 83, of Mpls, passed peacefully on January 20, 2002. Most recently a resident of Catholic Elder Care. Ruth lived for over 50 years at her home in South Mpls. Ruth enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening and visiting with friends, relatives and neighbors. Ruth was never happier than when she surrounded by her family. Her family meant everything to her and brought her all the joy and contentment one would ever want. Preceded in death by husband, Ramon; and son, Gary. Survived by daughters, Sharon (Bruce Tipple) and Beverly (Stanley) Vasseur; sons, Joseph (Jeanne) and Timothy (Sheri); grandchildren, Kara, Niki (Anders) Wollan, Nicole (Brian) Breuer, Erin Vasseur, Kristin, John, Natalie, Autumn, Blake, Mark (Jenna) and Steven; great-grandchildren, Abby and Jakob Wollan; and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 11 am, CHURCH OF ST ALBERT THE GREAT, East 29th St and 32nd Ave S. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday, 5:30-7:30 pm at BRADSHAW (McDIVITT-HAUGE), 3131 Minnehaha Ave S and 1/2 hour prior to Mass at the Church.
