Swanson Ruth Evelyn, age 80, of Fridley. Peacefully passed into a new life on November 1, 2002. Ruth had fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and was gently handed over to Our Lord by her loving family. Survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Ken; loving children, Diane (Dan) Splittstoser, Gary (Marjean), Bruce, Marilyn (Art) Schumacher; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service Tuesday, 11 am, with reviewal 1 hour prior at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 755 73rd Ave. N.E., Fridley. Visitation Monday, 5-8 pm at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, W. Main St. & Branch Av., Anoka. Interment North Maple Ridge Covenant Cemetery (West of Braham, MN). In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Thurston-Lindberg 763-421-0220
