Palmer Russell I., age 84, of New Hope. Retired copywriter for Collier's, Hearst magazines, Army Times and Our Sunday Visitor. His photo essay 'Sled Dogs in Dixie', about Siberian Huskies bred in Virginia, appeared in the 1950s. Survived by wife, Patricia; daughter, Deborah Lagzdins; grand-daughters, Kristina and Erica; sister, Patricia (John) Vigneau. Also a member of Christ the King Retreat Center, Buffalo, MN. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Tuesday, at The Church of St Raphael (Holy Spirit Chapel), 7300 Bass Lake Road, Crystal. Memorials preferred to Sharing & Caring Hands. GILL BROTHERS 763-531-1777
