Connolly, Ronald Age 78 of Fridley, MN passed away at home on 10/07/19. Born December 24, 1940 in Mpls. He was the son of Horace and Alice Connolly. Ron met the love of his life, Rose Sapa while working with her at the Broadway Theater. He always had a smile on his face when telling the story about how they met in the theater. They married on September 5, 1964 and enjoyed 47 years of marriage until Rose passed in 2012. They were best of friends, travel companions, confidants and soulmates. Together they were like peanut butter and jam, wine and cheese, chips and dip.... each with such great qualities but together perfection. After graduating from North HIgh School, he graduated from Minnesota Art Institute. He owned a successful illustration and design company in Milwaukee for many years. Ron was passionate about buying and restoring classic cars, car shows and being with friends and family. He was preceded in death by wife Rose; father Horace; mother Alice; in-laws Frank and Eileen Sapa; along with many brothers and sisters-in-law. He is survived by sisters Muriel, Nancy; brother Robert; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, 10/21 at 10:30 am with visitation one hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 Second Ave. N.W., New Brighton. Burial willl follow.
