Ek Roger Eugene Ek, was born on February 15, 1940 to Hazel and Rudolph Ek. He passed peacefully on May 8, 2003 of complications from Alzheimer's and pneumonia in the home of his beloved foster care parents, Walt and Sondra Brunelle. Survived by his sister, rubye Lesch Erickson, Emery Erickson and family. Roger was a client at Options in Big Lake, MN. He brought happiness and smiles wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by his loving foster parent family, Sondra and Walt Brunelle, Tom Otremba, Melissa Brunelle and her children. They gave him unconditional love and care. Funeral service 11 AM Friday at DARE'S FUNERAL HOME, 805 Main St., Elk River, 763-441-1212. Visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
