Swenson Roberta Ann "Bobbie", age 74 of Brooklyn Park went home to be with the Lord following a courageous 25 year battle with cancer on July 20, 2003. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Ellen K. and Arthur Robinson, and sister, Patsy Akre. She is survived by beloved husband of 53 years, Donald E. Swenson; children, Robin Thomas, Jayne (Bradley) Boos, and Donald (Angela) Swenson; grandchildren, Christy Lee (Brandon) Manary, Patrick Thomas, Tony (Jayme) Boos, and Missy Thomas; great grandchildren, Ostin and Blake Manary. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. A special thank you to the loving respectful and skilled staff at Camilia Rose Care Center and Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, and Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Pk for the tenderness and care given to Roberta these past months. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, July 23 at Salem Covanent Church, Silver Lake Rd and 5th St. NW, New Brighton with visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church.
