Robert Linngren Obituary

Linngren, Robert Joseph Beloved husband and father Robert Joseph Linngren passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 9, 2019. He was born on February 5, 1942 to Allen and Alta Linngren. He grew up in the Fridley and Columbia Heights area. He married Diane Marie Hunt on September 27, 1969 and last month celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Together they had 3 children Julie married to John Luger, Joel going to marry Jennifer Bonebrake, and Jason married to Angela Peterson. He has 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother John. Robert worked 46 years at Minneapolis Star Tribune. He also operated a 500 fruit tree orchard for 27 years. Robert and Diane were NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) Leaders and teachers for 12 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Parmly on the Lake and Ecumen Hospice for their gentle and loving care of Robert. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City, MN. Visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, MN and one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
