Richard C. Patterson Obituary

Patterson Richard C., age 72, of St. Louis Park, died Dec. 13. Employed by Fairview Riverside Hospital. Enjoyed 60 years of Scouting. In 1980 he formed the Viking Council's Challenger District. Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow (the first person with a disability to be elected into the Vigil Honor). In 2001 he received the District Award of Merit. Active in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. At age 68 received the LAMB Award which recognizes outstanding service in national youth organizations. Survived by brother & sister-in-law, John & Diane; nephews, Ken (Jill) and their children, Lindsey & Evan; Don (Joan) and their children, Ian & Elaine. Memorial service Wed. 11 AM, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 13207 Lake St. Extension (Hwy. 7 & Baker Rd.), Minnetonka. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to Boy Scouts of America Viking Council or Camp Courage. Cremation Society of MN Edina 952-924-4100
