Schwappach Richard Schwappach, 77, Bismarck, died June 14 at a local hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jeff Tengesdal officiating. Wednesday evening there will be a gathering for friends at 7:30 PM at Parkway Funeral Service where a prayer service will be held at 8:00 PM. He was born August 29, 1925, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of George and Ellen Schwappach. He attended North High School in Minneapolis and in 1948 graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. On June 18, 1955 he married Joanne Hazard at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Richard is survived by his wife, Joanne, Bismarck; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana (Cal) Gendreau, Bismarck; Laurie (Steve) Johnson, Victoria, MN; two grandsons David and Jeffrey Gendreau, both of Bismarck; and sister Merle (Wallace) Belin, St. Louis.
