Guminga Rev. Theodore Guminga, age 69, of NE Mpls. Born April 17, 1933 in Chicago, IL. Passed away suddenly April 3, 2003. Preceded in death by father, Casimir; and his grandparents. Survived by mother, Angeline; brother, George & wife, Becky; sister, Frances; aunt, Mary Disch; nephew, nieces & cousins. Fr. Ted was ordained February 22, 1959. He served the parishes of SS Cyril & Methodius in NE Mpls 1959-1964 and St. Adalbert's in St. Paul 1964-1967. He taught at the University of St. Thomas for 17 years. Fr. Ted has been the Pastor of St. Hedwig's in NE Mpls since 1973. He also has ministered at the churches of St. Philip, Holy Cross and St. Elizabeth. He has served on the Board of Directors of Catholic Eldercare since its inception. Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Hedwig, 129-29th Ave. NE (29th & Randolph), Mpls; Visitation at the church Sunday 3-8 PM with Vigil Service at 6:30 PM. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass on Monday. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Hedwig's Building Fund or Catholic Eldercare.
