Peterson Rebecca Ann, (DeWeerth), age 29. Born Oct. 24, 1972 in Edina, MN, died Dec. 12, 2001. Survived by her husband, David A. Peterson; parents, Eldon & Mary DeWeerth; sisters, Jennifer (Steve) Ellingson & Deborah (John) Hofland; nephew, Evan Hofland; grandmother, Ric DeWeerth; many loving aunts, uncles & cousins. Preceded in death by grandparents, William Deweerth, Margaret & Robert Dewey. Rebecca received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Superior. She worked as a biochemist. Becky was an amazing person. She naturally put others' needs ahead of her own. She had an irrepressible spirit, a kind heart and a strong will. She loved nature and spending time with her family. She cannot be replaced and will always be remembered. Her family wishes to express gratitude to her many friends and colleagues who were so supportive of Becky through her illness. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Ian Okazaki & the doctors and nurses on Unit 7D at Fairview University Hospital. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM, Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 at Redeemer Lutheran Church (3770 Bellaire Ave., WBL).
