Garmer Rachel G. (nee Johnson), age 87, of Elk River, on Sept. 19, 2002. Preceded in death by her husand, Richard; and brother, Carvel Johnson. Survived by daughters, Alice (Robert) Connors, Marlys Garmer; son, Gregory (Mary) Garmer; grandchildren, Teresa Connors, Cheryl (Scott) Fischer, Giles (Jill) Connors, Michael Garmer; great-grandchildren, David and Sarah Fischer, Margaret & Jaclynn Connors. Also survived by her brother, Aaron Johnson of Washington, DC; sister, Olive (Lloyd) Schwiebert of Rock Island, IL; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Johnson of Overland Park, KS. Memorial service 1 PM Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at Central Lutheran Church, 1103 School St., Elk River. Private interment Vernon Cemetery. Memorials preferred. Arr. Dare's Funeral Home 763-441-1212
