Fairchild Philip T. Fairchild Jr., age 71, of Burnsville, MN, passed away on Oct. 22, 2002 while visiting family in California. Survived by his wife & best friend of 48 years, Vernetta (Tchida) Fairchild. Loving father to Janeen Walker (Kevin) and P. Tenney III (Deborah). Proud grandpa of Blaze and Farrah Walker, and Jensen Fairchild. Also survived by his sister, Cindy (Fairchild) Fryer and numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Philip T. & Effie C. Fairchild; sisters, Patricia Kaiser and Effie Fairchild. Phil will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all who knew him. His wonderful sense of humor was surely his greatest attribute, and his honesty and devotion to family and friends was above reproach. His career in advertising spanned 42 years in Detroit, MI and Chicago, IL. Phil was the recipient of many advertising awards.
