Survived by daughters, Janice (Galen) Hass of Isanti, Karen (Everett) Holz of Winona, Tricia (Pete) McCloy of White Bear Lake; sons, Dwain (Diane) Schafer of Stanhope, IA, Ronnie (Nicky) Schafer of Watertown, SD; former daughter-in-law, Mary Helen Schafer of Ramsey; brother, Alvin (Delores) Schafer of Winona; sisters, Phyllis (Ray) Lanz of Winona, LaVonne (LeRoy) Jahnke of Winona; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service 6:00 PM Thurs., Jan. 3, 2002 at Faith Lutheran Church, Isanti. Visitation two hours prior at the church. Interment Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
