Lifetime member of Crystal Knights of Columbus & American Legion. Preceded in death by parents, Herman & Edna; brother, Howard. Survived by children, Michael A. (Nancy), Margaret (Ray) Carr, Susan (James) Bitney, Janet (Kevin) Murphy, Wayne (Laurie Vadnais), William & their mother, Helen C. Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Knutson, Edna Mae (Ronald) Milnor. Visitation Tuesday January 29, 5-8 pm at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave S., Mpls. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 30, 11 am, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 2211 Clinton Ave S., Mpls. Private Interment Ft. Snelling. Memorials preferred. 612-825-4567
