Norbert A. Augst Obituary

Augst Pastor Norbert A., age 84, of Burnsville, died on July 26, 2002 following a valiant 20-year struggle with Lymphoma. Survived by loving wife Veronica of 59 years; four children, Carla LeVander (Harold) of Woodbury, Stephen of White Bear Lake, Kathryn Hexum (Rick) of Stone Lake, WI, Joanne Johnson (Brad) of Plymouth; ten grandchildren; sister, Hannah of Bloomington; nephew, Magnus Peterson of Battle Lake. A graduate of Wartburg College and Seminary, he was active in Chorus, football and boxing. Two-time NW Iowa Golden Gloves Champion. Norbert faithfully served parishes in Hampton, IA, Shakopee, Clara City, West St. Paul, Minneapolis, Rochester and Eagan. He served his parishioners with his preaching, counseling and teaching, and managed church building projects. Funeral services Monday 1:00 PM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13901 Fairview Drive, Burnsville, with reviewal one hour prior. Interment St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Montgomery, MN.
