Stanton Michael A., age 58, died peacefully at his home and went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2002. Born to Martin and Maxine (Chappius) Stanton on February 6, 1944 in Kenyon, MN. Michael graduated from Faribault High School in 1962, and went on to serve in the US Army Special Force Green Beret from 1962-1964. He married Bobbie Paukert on August 13, 1966. For the past 33 years, Michael owned and operated C&S Blacktopping of Rogers. He was a nationally known gun collector, big game hunter, avid Harley rider, and book lover. Michael is survived by his wife, Bobbi; children, Stephanie (Scott) Stanton-Parham, Michael (Dawn) Stanton, Stacey (Jim) Stanton-Larson, Shelly Stanton, Katie Stanton; 9 grandchildren; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Leonora; and grandson, Zachery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at 10:30 AM at St. Henry's Catholic Church of Monticello, with Fr. Tim Rudolphi officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the church, and also one hour prior to srvices on Wednesday morning. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.
