Hamel Melvin W., age 74, of Little Canada, on March 25, 2002. Preceded in death by wife, Joy & son David. Survived by children, Stephen, Carol (Jim) Orcutt, Dan (Mary), Terry (Joel) Petersen, Connie (Mark) Peterson, Rosemary (Omar) Barreto, Karen (John) Adams, Jesse (Aimee); 23 grandchildren; brothers, Gerald (Maxine), Loren (Sue); sisters, Eunice (Harold) Nelson, Thelma Rue; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Funeral service Friday, 11 AM at NORTH HEIGHTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2701 N. Rice St. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday, 4- 8 PM at THE HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM NORTH CHAPEL, 515 W. Hwy 96, Shoreview and at the church on Friday from 10:30 AM until time of service. Memorials are preferred to North Heights Lutheran Church or D.
