Bangle Melvin J., age 85, of Columbia Heights, passed peacefully in his sleep 8/13/02 at the Episcopal Church Home. Preceded in death by wife, Hattie. Beloved father of Shirley (Ron) Askerooth, St. Paul, Bonnie (Les) Vander Veen, Kirkland, WA; grandfather of Shar, Todd, Kevin, Kim, Kris, Keith and Kelly & great-grandfather of 9. Also survived by brothers, Orlando and Alvin; sister, Armilla Clark. Funeral service Monday, 2 pm, Episcopal Church Home, 1879 Feronia Ave., St. Paul. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 5- 7 pm, Washburn-McReavy Northeast Chapel, 29th & Johnson St. NE, Mpls & 1 hr prior to service at Church Home. Washburn-McReavy 612-781-6828
