Oakey Maxine M., age 78, of St. Paul, on Dec. 19, 2001. Preceded in death by husband, James; son, Bruce; sister, Marcila; niece, Judy; and nephew, Dick. Survived by 3 grandchildren, Christine, Brian, Lynn; 1 great-grandson, Gregory; 2 sisters, Mildred Quinlan of St. Paul and Doris Marty Carlson of Tacoma, WA; 3 nieces & 1 nephew. Maxine was a hospital visitor for St. Paul Astomy Assoc., Patient Partners, and the American Cancer Society. Also a member of the ''Circle of Courage'' Cancer Support Group and a volunteer at Dorothy Day Center - Wednesday Crew. ''I was richer by all of you. I have been blessed with the love of family and friends.'' Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thurs., Dec. 27 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 840 E. 6th St. Visitation 4-8 PM Wed., Dec. 26, with prayer vigil at 7 PM at MUELLER MORTUARY PARKWAY CHAPEL, 835 Johnson Pkwy. at E. 7th St., and one hour prior to Mass at the Church.
