Max Grosblat Obituary
Grosblat Max, age 81, 12-year resident of Sholom Home West. His parents and brothers perished in the Holocaust. He was also preceded in death by his sister. Survived by his wife, Anna; daughter & son-in-law, Fay & Steve Gold; son, Simon; sister-in-law, Bluma Finkelstein; grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew and Michael; nieces, Frima Harris, Evelyn Akiva, Tzipi Orlav and Chaya Mischaeli; great-nephews & nieces, Jeff Gold, Ann Leiberman, Nate Akiva, Marianne Ventura; great- great-nephew, Gavin Leiberman; great-great- niece, Sara Ventura. Max was a Holocaust survivor who had fought in the Polish underground. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 30 years and was an active member of the JCC where he received trophies in running, swimming and ping pong. The family wishes to thank the staff of 2 North at Sholom Home West for the care they gave Max. Funeral services SUNDAY, 11 AM, UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 70 1/2 & Thomas Ave S. Memorials preferred to Sholom Home West. SHIVA, 6620 Field Way, Edina (Sun. & Mon., 7 PM); Sholom Home West, 3620 Phillips Pkwy (Tues., 7 PM). Arr. with Hodroff & Sons.
