Maurice L. Robins Obituary

Robins Maurice L., 91, born August 17, 1910 in St. Paul, MN to Samuel B. and Sarah Robins, passed away on Dec. 16, 2001 in Plano, TX. He was the youngest high school graduate of St. Paul, MN and also was a graduate of the University of MN Chemical Engineering School. Maurice was a 33rd Degree Mason and member of Braden Lodge in St. Paul, and the Zipper Club (Cardiac Rehabilitation). He was Past President of B'nai B'rith #1804 and a member of Temple of Aaron Synagogue in St. Paul and Congregation Beth Torah in Richardson, TX. Maurice retired as Deptuy Chief Administrator of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission in 1975 and he was Past President and Director of various professional engineering organizations. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Rose Robins; two sons, Kenneth E. Robins & wife Myrna, and Allan S. Robins & wife Terri; grandchildren, Sandra Haas & husband Alan and Amy Shapiro; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Emily Haas, and Mikaela and Ashley Shapiro; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held 12 pm Wed., Dec. 19, 2001 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel, Rabbi Jeffery Leynor officiated. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Maurice Robins.
