Mary Roberta Nordlund Obituary

Nordlund Mary Roberta, died Jan. 13 at Fairview University Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 82. She was born to Martin & Mary (Forester) Johnson on Oct. 31, 1919 in Mpls. On Dec. 31, 1939, she married Elmer Nordlund in Mpls. She lived her entire life in the Mpls. area. She was actively invovled in many areas of the Alcoholics Anonymous Organization during the 19½ years of her sobriety. She enjoyed gardening and she was a hospital and community volunteer for many years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Lilly Mae Swenson & Nettie Johnson; and by her husband. She is survived by her 4 children, John Nordlund, Alpine, CA, Barbara Ann Butler, Nancy Hansen, Greeley, CO, Diane Crosier, Poway, CA. She was also a wonderful grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who also survive her. Funeral service Thurs. 10 AM at Enga-White-Gleason Funeral Chapel, 5500 Stevens Ave. S. (35W & Diamond Lake Rd). Visitation Wed. (TODAY) 7-9 PM at the chapel, and ½ hour before time of service Thurs. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Breast Cancer Research. 612-827-5838
