Mary M. Stepkala Obituary

Stepkala Mary M., passed to her final reward on June 12, 2002. Born October 21, 1914 in Mpls, she attended vocational high school and worked for the Minnesota Casket Company for 25 years. She married Joseph Stepkala, May 8, 1937. After his death in May of 1964, she put her efforts into assisting the elderly in home care and volunteering many hours through Lutheran Social Services, St. Anthony Nursing Home - Nurses Aide, and the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church - Funeral Luncheon Coordinator. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph and parents, John & Mary Bacha; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by daughter, Joanne (Ken) Johnson and son, John Stepkala; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 11 am Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2420 St. Anthony Blvd., Mpls. Visitation Sunday, 1- 3 pm at Kapala-Glodek Northeast Chapel, 230 13th Ave NE, Mpls, and one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery. Kapala-Glodek 612-378-1331
