Martha A. Wanek Obituary

Wanek Martha A., age 93 of Stillwater, formerly of Hopkins. Died on July 15, 2003. Preceded in death by brother, Dr. Richard Picha; sisters, Ruth Novak and Alice Picha. Survived by children, Stuart of Cheyanne, WY, Norma (Roy) Baker of Stillwater; 2 granddaughters, Heidi (Brian) Capozzi, Heather (Scott) Fairbairn; great-grandson, Bryce Fairbairn. Martha was a long time resident of the Hopkins/Minnetonka area, graduate of Excelsior High School and the U of M, and taught at the Eden Prairie High School for 30 years. Lifetime member and elder of Faith Presbyterian Church. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Glen Lake-Tonka Senior Center. Martha possessed a deep Christian faith which she lived out by serving others. Loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be greatly missed. Memorials preferred to the church. Interment Faith Presbyterian Cemetery. Funeral service 2 PM Monday at Faith Presbyterian Church, 12007 Excelsior Blvd, Mtka, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church and also 6-8 PM TODAY at: Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins 952-938-9020
