Thies Marion Clarice (nee Kight), age 86, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2003 at the Apple Valley Health Care Center after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Born June 30, 1916 in Mpls, MN. United in marriage to Frederick W. Thies on April 29, 1938. Marion was a homemaker for many years as she raised their 3 children. She was a former employee of Montgomery Wards in Shakopee and later worked as Chief Deputy in the Scott County Treasurers Office until retiring in 1978. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years on February 6, 1997. Survived by children, Michael, Richard and Mary (Hanson); sister, Vera Anderson; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, February 21, 2003 at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16150 Arcadia Ave SE, Prior Lake.
